Tennessee upsets eighth-ranked florida

Trae Golden scored 17 points, Jeronne Maymon added 15 points and 11 rebounds, and Tennessee (13-12, 5-5 Southeastern Conference) upset No. 8 Florida 75-70, ending the Gators' home-winning streak at 19. The Gators (19-6, 7-3) played most of the game without their top two reserves, guard Mike Rosario and forward Will Yeguete. Rosario missed the game because of a hip pointer, and Yeguete suffered a head injury early in the first half when he slammed into the padding at the base of the basket. Bradley Beal (Chaminade) and Kenny Boynton led the Gators with 16 points apiece.

alabama suspends three more players

Alabama suspended forward and leading scorer JaMychal Green, along with guards Trevor Releford and Andrew Steele, for undisclosed violations of team rules. That left Alabama without four regulars — including its top three scorers and top two rebounders — for Saturday night's game at LSU because of the suspension of forward Tony Mitchell earlier in the week.

Scoop Jardine had a season-high 21 points, and No. 2 Syracuse (25-1, 12-1 Big East) defeated visiting Connecticut 85-67. Jeremy Lamb scored 18 points for the Huskies (15-9, 5-7).

No. 7 kansas rolls past Oklahoma state

Jeff Withey finished with 18 points and a career-best 20 rebounds, and Thomas Robinson had 24 points and 14 boards to lead No. 7 Kansas (20-5, 10-2 Big 12) past Oklahoma State (12-13, 5-7) 81-66.

10th-ranked duke roughs up maryland

Miles Plumlee had 13 points and a career-high 22 rebounds, helping No. 10 Duke (21-4, 8-2 Atlantic Coast Conference) pull away for a 73-55 win over visiting Maryland (14-10, 4-6).

Indiana st. sinks SIUC with 3-pointers

Indiana State (15-11, 6-9 Missouri Valley) set an NCAA record by making all 12 3-pointers it took in a 78-68 victory over visiting SIU-Carbondale. Dantiel Daniels led the Salukis (8-18, 5-10) with 16 points. ... Marland Smith tied his career high with 30 points to lead visiting Southeast Missouri State (14-11, 9-4 Ohio Valley) to an 85-72 victory over SIU-Edwardsville. Kris Davis' 20 points led the Cougars (7-15, 5-8).
