Sophomore defensive end Aldon Smith was named the Big 12's co-defensive player of the week for his performance against Illinois.
Smith shared the award with Texas linebacker Keenan Robinson.
Smith had 10 tackles, including three sacks and two others for loss.
Coach Gary Pinkel said he would continue shifting Smith around on the defensive front, lining him up at end, tackle, or dropping into coverage.
Running backs Daniel Thomas of Kansas State and Kendall Hunter of Oklahoma State shared the offensive player of the week award.
The selections are made by a panel of media memebers who cover the conference.
Smith was also named the Walter Camp national defensive player of the week.
Missouri plays McNeese State on Saturday.
