Marcus Denmon was named the Big 12's player of the week today.
He averaged 17.5 points and 7.0 rebounds to lead Missouri to wins at Texas (67-66) and against No. 8 Kansas (74-71).
His big game came against the Jayhawks, as he broke out of a shooting slump to score 29 points. He made 10-of-16 shots from the field, including 6-of-9 from 3-point range.
The senior scored nine consecutive points in a span of 1:12 with less than two minutes remaining to rally the Tigers from down eight points to up one with just under a minute left in the contest.
The 29-point effort was the second-highest of his career and his 24th career 20-point outing. On the week, Denmon shot 46.4 percent from the field and 50.0 percent from beyond the arc, while making 3-of-5 free throws. He also added two assists and two steals.
