A season-ending three-game sweep of Dayton, capped by a 3-1 win on Saturday, secured a spot for SLU in the A-10 baseball tournament. SLU will finish fourth or fifth depending on the result of tonight's Fordham-Duquesne game. If Fordham wins, SLU finishes fifth. If Fordham loses, SLU is fourth. The fourth and fifth place teams meet in the first round, so if Fordham wins, it will face SLU, which it took two out of three games from in the regular season. If Fordham loses, there's a three-way tie for fifth and that will have to be sorted out.
This will be the team's first trip to conference tournament under coach Darin Hendrickson, who's in his third season. The tournament begins Wednesday in Camden, N.J.
