We've known for a while who will be in the eight-team Cancun Governors Cup tournament, but the brackets are coming out today. SLU will open against Northeastern at 11 a.m. on Dec. 22. Northeastern went 20-13 last season and finished second in the Colonial. It lost to Connecticut in the first round of the NIT. Depending on the result, SLU would then face either Southern Miss or East Tennessee State. TV doesn't pick up games until the second round; if SLU wins, its second game would be on ESPNU, at 1:30 p.m. The tournament final is on ESPN2.
The other side of the bracket consists of Appalachian State, Colorado State, Ole Miss and Texas State.
