Cowboys rookie receiver Dez Bryant could miss the rest of training camp after the first-round draft pick suffered a right ankle sprain Friday when he became entangled with cornerback Orlando Scandrick while trying to catch a pass that was thrown behind him on the next-to-last play of the day. The team said he will be out four to six weeks.

Berry tweets deal done with Chiefs — Safety Eric Berry, the fifth overall pick in the draft, said on his Twitter account that he's agreed to terms with the Kansas City Chiefs. ESPN said the deal was for six years and $60 million, with $34 million guaranteed. The Chiefs would not confirm the deal.

Lions sign Best, not Suh — The Detroit Lions signed their second first-round pick, running back Jahvid Best, to a five-year contract, but the reporting deadline for camp came and went without a deal being reached with defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh, who was taken second overall.

Falcons sign Weatherspoon — The Atlanta Falcons signed linebacker Sean Weatherspoon, their first-round pick from Missouri, to a five-year, $17.5 million contract, including $10.5 million guaranteed.

Coles back with Jets — Veteran wide receiver Laveranues Coles signed a one-year contract with the New York Jets. This marks the third stint with the Jets for Coles, who spent last season with the Cincinnati Bengals.
