The St. Louis Rams' 16th season here has kicked off. The first practice of training camp has begun at Rams Park.

The two practices today, plus another Friday, include just rookies, quarterbacks and selected veterans.

Absent is quarterback Sam Bradford, the No. 1 overall pick in April's draft. Bradford has not signed a contract with the Rams yet; here's an early-morning update on his situation.

The first full-squad workout is scheduled for 3 p.m. Saturday.
