The St. Louis Rams reached the 75-man roster limit today by designating tackle Phil Trautwein as waived/injured.

Trautwein suffered a torn medial collateral ligament in his knee last week in practice and is facing six to eight weeks of recovery time.

Teams must reduce their rosters to 53 by 5 p.m. Saturday (St. Louis time).

Trautwein, 6-foot-6 and 308 pounds, was an undrafted rookie out of Florida in 2009 who appeared in four games with the Rams.
