More roster shuffling probably is in the works over the next several days, but the Rams have reached their regular-season roster limit of 53.

Twenty players were released on Friday and Saturday, and two more were placed on injured reserve because of knee injuries (safety Kevin Payne and offensive lineman Eric Young).

Among the 20 released players, four names previously unreported were wide receiver Danario Alexader, the former University of Missouri standout who has battled knee problems; cornerback Quincy Butler, who started seven games for the Rams last season; running back Chris Ogbonnaya, who entered training camp as the No. 2 back behind Steven Jackson; and center Drew Miller, who spent the last three weeks of the 2009 season on the Rams' practice squad.
