With the deadline approaching for the 80-man rosters to be trimmed to 75, the St. Louis Rams have released cornerback Marcus Brown, guard Joe Gibbs and running back Jamie McCoy.

Also, wide receiver Donnie Avery, who tore a knee ligament Thursday at New England, will be placed on injured reserve.

That will leave the team with one more cut to be made by Tuesday's deadline.
