Were it not for a preseason ankle injury, wide receiver Brandon McRae would have made a strong push for a spot on the St. Louis Rams' 53-man roster. As it is, McRae has been been signed to the team's practice squad.

McRae was among the Rams' roster cuts Saturday and cleared waivers on Sunday. He caught a touchdown pass in the preseason finale against Baltimore, and with good size (6-3, 207) could have a future in St. Louis if he stays healthy and continues to develop.
