The St. Louis Rams have traded rookie defensive end Hall Davis to the Washington Redskins for rookie tight end-fullback Dennis Morris. Morris practiced with the Rams on Monday.
Davis was a fifth-round draft pick from Louisiana-Lafayette who faced long odds in making the 53-man roster. Morris was a sixth-round draftee from Lousiana Tech. The teams also swapped conditional draft picks.
Also, the Rams have placed wide receiver Donnie Avery on injured reserve. Avery suffered a torn ligament Thursday vs. New England.
