Tthe MVP of the South-West Stars in the SLABA 17U All-Star Game, Rakers doubled in the first inning, singled and scored in the third and singled in the seventh, finishing the day 3 for 4. He was slotted to be the Stars' No. 1 pitcher but was out until midseason with a rotator cuff injury. He returned to the lineup midway through the season as an outfielder and batted .369 with 13 RBIs. A St. Mary's transfer, Rakers will be a senior at CBC.
