A 6-foot junior center, Steins had impressive performances in three games in the Borgia Tournament and is now among the area leaders in scoring with an average of 17.1 points per game. Steins had 22 points and nine rebounds in a losing cause against Union, 26 points and 16 rebounds in a victory over Soldan and 16 points and nine rebounds in a win over Washington. In the three games, Steins shot 57% from the field and 77% from the foul line. A third-year varsity player and second-year starter, Steins was a second-team all-conference selection in the Suburban West as a sophomore. She also plays volleyball.
