Left fielder Jane Trzaska's three-run home run in the top of the sixth inning enabled Glenbard South to come from behind and beat Civic Memorial 8-4 for third place in the Illinois Class 3A state softball tournament at EastSide Centre in East Peoria, Ill. Saturday morning.
Kayla Kirkpatrick gave the Eagles (30-7) a 4-3 advantage in the bottom of the fifth with a two-run homer off Jessica Wilkes (21-4) before Trazaska's blast off Kirkpatrick (20-4) provided the Raiders (29-6) with a 6-4 lead. South added two more runs in the seventh.
