The Blues still need to re-sign a few of their own restricted free agents, but as of Tuesday (July 13), here is a list of the team's salary-cap figures for the 2010-11 season.
Keep in mind, the monetary value next to each player's name is their salary-cap hit, which is the average salary per season over the length of the contract. In some cases, players can receive more or less than that figure in actual compensation.
For example, forward Andy McDonald signed a four-year, $18.8 million contract in 2009. He was paid $5.2 million last year; he will be paid $5.2 million this season; and he will make $4.2 million in 2011-12 and $4.2 million in 2012-13. The average of those figures ($4.7 million) is the number that counts. That's the salary-cap figure that will be used when figuring out the Blues' cap hit next season.
I will provide the Blues' cap hit at the end of this player-by-player breakdown . . .

Because it's impossible to know who will be on the Blues' opening-night roster, it's impossible to know what the team's actual salary-cap hit will be in three months.
When Johnson, Perron, King and Strachan are re-signed, the number will obviously change. And whether Pietrangelo, Cole and/or Nikitin make the team will also change the figure.
But including the players under contract as of today (those on one-way deals and those who figure to battle for a roster spot) these are the salary-cap numbers that I have as of today . . .
Players: 21
Blues' salary-cap hit for 2010-11: $44,702,000
