Blues • The club will put its first two-game winning streak of the season on the line when it opens the three-game trip. The Blues are coming off a 4-2 win over Philadelphia and no lineup changes are expected. Backup goaltender Brian Elliott should receive his third consecutive start for the Blues, who were 2-2 against the Canucks last year.
Canucks • The Stanley Cup runners-up were 4-3-1 heading into Tuesday's game in Edmonton. Goaltender Roberto Luongo, who received boos from the home crowd recently, started against the Oilers, which means the Blues might face backup Corey Schneider tonight. Schneider is 2-1 with a 1.97 goals-against average and a .929 save-percentage.
What to watch • Vancouver recently acquired forwards David Booth and Steve Reinprecht and a third-round pick from Florida for Mikael Samuelsson and Marco Sturm. Booth was off to a slow start, but he had 23 goals and 17 assists last season, and the Canucks hope he will be a top-six forward for the club.
Injuries • Blues — LW Andy McDonald (concussion), RW B.J. Crombeen (shoulder) and LW David Perron (concussion), out. Canucks — LW Mason Raymond (back) and D Aaron Rome (finger), out.
