Forward T.J. Hensick has agreed to a one-year contract extension with the St. Louis Blues.

The Blues announced the deal Friday. Terms were not disclosed.

The Blues acquired Hensick from Colorado on June 17 in exchange for Julian Talbot. Hensick is 24 and played in seven games for the Avalanche last season, with a goal and two assists. In 58 American Hockey League games for Lake Erie, he had 20 goals and 50 assists.

Hensick had four goals and 17 assists for Colorado in 2008-09. He was originally chosen by the Avalanche in the third round of the 2005 draft.
