Alex Steen (concussion) could return to the lineup tonight after missing eight consecutive games.

Stars — Tonight is the first of two games on back-to-back nights for Dallas, which will host Detroit on Tuesday. The Stars are coming off a 2-1 loss to Colorado on Saturday. They were 0 for three on the power play, dropping to just three for 36 (13.6 percent) in their last 11 games. Leading scorer Jamie Benn (13 goals, 29 assists) is out after having an appendectomy.

What to watch — Goaltender Jaroslav Halak will be back in net, starting for the fourth time in the Blues' last six games. He is 3-0 in that stretch leading into tonight's game. Halak has been dominant at Scottrade Center this season, running his record Saturday to 9-2-2 with a 2.05 goals-against average and a .921 save percentage.
