Blues • The Blues return home after a four-game road trip, in which they went 3-1. The club will play seven of its last eight regular-season games at Scottrade. They open against Chicago, against whom they are 1-2 this season, winning the last meeting 4-3 on April 4. Brian Elliott is expected back in net, putting his string of three consecutive shutouts and streak of 189 minutes, 29 seconds without allowing a goal on the line.

Blackhawks • The Blackhawks are in a battle with Pittsburgh for the Presidents’ Trophy, and they also have yet to wrap up the Western Conference title over Anaheim. The Blackhawks are 6-0-1 over the past seven games, with their shootout loss to the Blues the only blemish.

Injuries • Blues — RW T.J. Oshie (ankle), C Scott Nichol (lower-body injury) and G Jaroslav Halak (groin), out; Blackhawks — C Dave Bolland (lower-body injury), questionable.
