BLUES • The Blues are coming off back-to-back wins over first-place teams, topping Central-Division leading Detroit 4-3 and Southeast-Division leading Atlanta 4-2 last week. The Blues are 2-2 against Nashville, winning the last meeting 2-1 in a shootout Nov. 24 despite only 15 shots on goal.

PREDATORS • Nashville has won five consecutive games at Scottrade Center, dating to last February. Four of those five games have been decided by one goal, including three that have gone past regulation. The Predators are coming off a 2-1 loss to Ottawa before the break.

WHAT TO WATCH • Keep an eye on the number of shots Nashville takes. The Blues were ranked No. 1 in the league in fewest shots against per game, but they gave up a season-high 39 shots to Atlanta and 38 to Detroit. The Blues now rank fourth in the NHL with 28.1 shots against.

INJURIES • Blues LW Andy McDonald (concussion), LW David Perron (concussion), RW T.J. Oshie (broken ankle) and C Dave Scatchard (knee), out; Predators LW Steve Sullivan (lower-body) and RW Martin Erat (upper-body), questionable; C Matthew Lombardi and C David Legwand, out.
