Blues coach Ken Hitchcock expects to start Brian Elliott in goal at Columbus Thursday and Jaroslav Halak in goal at Detroit Friday.

He also plans one shift on his forward lines: Vladimir Sobotka will move up from the fourth line to play left wing with Patrik Berglund and Chris Stewart. He will replace rookie Jaden Schwartz.

Hitchcock moved Sobokta into a more prominent role during Sunday night's victory over Minnesota. Sobotka responded by scoring the winning goal in overtime.

Afterward Hitchcock noted that Sobokta played three forward spots and in five different line combinations.

“Just because he is such a responsible player, wherever you go, he adds to the complement of the line." Hitchcock said after Wednesday's practice. "Tomorrow he is going to play with Berglund, he adds to that line. Wherever you play him, he adds to the complement of that line.”

The Blues were back to full strength for this session. Forward Alex Steen and defenseman Kris Russell sat out Tuesday's practice and forward Andy McDonald only practiced briefly.
