But the Bruins scored with just 40 seconds remaining in the first to take a 3-2 lead, then added a breakaway goal in the third.
It is the first time in 22 games the Blues have lost in regulation at home. It also represents the first time the team has lost in regulation two times in succession in a long time. The Blues outshot the Bruins 32-19, but to no avail.
