The Blues hang on to win 1-0 on a goal by Jamie Langenbrunner. They out-shot the Los Anglees Kings 33-21, but this was a game they can credit to goaltender Jaroslav Halak.

The netminder got his fifth shutout and made three absolutely fabulous saves to make the one-goal lead stand up. At the same time, the Kings did not have a shot over the last fives minutes.

The Note opens the second half with their 22nd home win, best in the league. Now they head to Nashville for a Saturday night game at Bridgestone Arena. They hope to improve on a 8-10-3 road record.

With just over five minutes remaining, Halak just robbed Williams point blank with a remarkable save. If the Blues hang on to win this, it will be a game they can look back at and credit Halak with a steal.

The Blues still lead with 8:41 to play, but Jason Arnott is hurt and being attended to. He took a hit and went down harder than my neighber at an O'Fallon beer-tasting event.

***

The Blues are out-shooting the Kings 21-10, but if it weren't for two incredible saves by Halak. Periods ends 1-0.

***

Spectacular save on Dustin Brown by Blues goaltender Jaroslov Halak, keeping it 1-0.

***

The Kings are getting the first power play of the game with just over six minutes to play.

***

A terrific play by Matt D'Agostini winds up in a goal for Jamie Langenbrunner and a 1-0 Blues lead with less than 12 minutes to play. D'Agostini pressed past a Kings defender along the boards, creating a 2-on-1 break. D'Agostini then passed to Langenbrunner, who one-timed it for his first goal in 11 games.

We're almost halfway through this game, and still no score. After the Blues dominated the last half of the first period, the Kings have been the dominant team in the early part of the second.

***

The Kings did not have a shot over the last 13 minutes. The Blues have 12-6 advantage in shots for the period, but the period ends scoreless.

***

The Blues have out-shot the Kings 10-0 in the last 11 minutes. But with a minute and a-half left, no score.

***

David Perron just hit the post, with 9:25 to play in first. Still no score.
