The Blues played a terrific game and celebrated the return of Andy McDonald with a convincing win over San Jose. The victory was a league-leading 24th at home for the Blues.
McDonald was a threat all night and assisted on the Blues' first goal by Alex Pietrangelo, who had two goals, the first two-goal game of his career. David Perron also scored, his sixth goal in four games. Jaroslav Halak stopped 23 shots for the shutout, his sixth of the season.
