The Blues fell to Nashville for the fourth time this season, losing 3-1 at Bridgestone Arena.

The Blues registered 42 shots on goal, but picked up just one goal from Chris Porter in the second period. That pulled the Blues to within 2-1 with 15:59 to play, but the club couldn't solve Nashville netminder Pekka Rinne before the Predators added an empty-netter. The team outshot Nashville 19-6 in the third period,

The Blues are 1-2-1 in their last four games and have just five goals in that span. The goal-scorers are Porter, Scott Nichol, Jamie Langenbrunner and Patrik Berglund (2), including one on a penalty shot.

Blues goalie Jaroslav Halak suffered only his second loss in regulation since November, allowing two goals on 36 shots. Mike Fisher and Martin Erat scored before Sergei Kostitsyn added the empty-netter.

The Blues were 0 for 2 on the power play tonight, and they've converted on just two of their last 33 opportunities.

They will be back on the ice Tuesday in Ottawa, playing the second game of a three-game road trip.
