Carmelo Anthony scored 25 points in his return to the lineup as the host New York Knicks snapped a three-game losing streak with a 113-86 victory over Detroit on Tuesday. Anthony had missed two games because of injuries to his ankle, wrist and thumb.
Landry Fields added 16 of his 18 points in a near-flawless first half, Tyson Chandler had 17 points and Amare Stoudemire 15 for the Knicks, who got just their second victory in 11 games. They shot 60 percent from the field, the first time they bettered 50 percent all season.
Celtics 93, Cavaliers 90 — Paul Pierce scored 20 points as visiting Boston avenged a loss to Cleveland two days earlier. Celtics guard Rajon Rondo right wrist) missed his seventh straight game. Meanwhile, Cleveland guard Daniel Gibson could be sidelined for a few more days with a neck infection that landed him in a Boston hospital Sunday.
Hawks 100, Raptors 77 — Joe Johnson needed just three quarters to match his season high with 30 points as visiting Atlanta recorded its third consecutive victory.
Grizzlies 100, Nuggets 97 — O.J. Mayo scored 18 points, including a go-ahead 3-pointer with 35 seconds left in overtime, as host Memphis snapped a four-game losing streak.
Pacers 106, Nets 99 — Paul George scored a career-high 24 points to lead host Indiana to its ninth straight win over New Jersey. Deron Williams scored 34 points for the Nets, who have lost two straight overall.
