AC St. Louis has acquired defender Chris Schuler on loan from Real Salt Lake for at least the next four games. He's expected to be in the team's lineup on Wednesday night when AC St. Louis plays in Montreal.
Schuler, who was born in St. Louis but went to high school in Chicago, is a Creighton grad who was taken with the 39th pick overall in last year's draft but hasn't gotten into a game with the defending champ RSL. He's 6-4, and that height will be a big plus on a back line that has had trouble with teams playing direct.
The team is looking to get more active in picking up players on loan as they now have a chance at a playoff spot after their slow start.
