AC St. Louis starts a difficult stretch of four road games in 11 days Wednesday night when it faces the NSC Minnesota Stars at 7 p.m. in Blaine, Minn.
The match will be streamed live on the team's website, ac-stlouis.com.
The road games, which include a stop on Saturday in Austin, Texas, to face the top team in Division 2, come at a time when the team is playing the best soccer of its young life.
In its past eight games overall, including three U.S. Open Cup games, the team is 4-2-2, and could escape from last place with a win Wednesday.
"I think it's all coming together," team captain Jack Traynor said. "As a team, I think we're all starting to trust each other, which is always key. With (new coach) Dale (Schilly) coming in, we have a new mentality to the team. We're not just going to try to sneak wins away. We're going in to win games."
The other good thing about the road games is that when they're over, nine of the team's final 12 games are at home.
