Nov. 7, 2009: Aerosmith may boot Steven Tyler, the Jacksons want their reality and Chris Brown can't sell tickets
Aerosmith may replace Steven Tyler with a new vocalist, guitarist Brad Whitford said. Fellow guitarist Joe Perry said Tyler wasn’t taking care of himself even before falling off a stage Aug. 5 while performing, an accident that forced the group to cancel its tour. Perry and Whitford also said Tyler isn’t being serious about the music. Tyler said it’s fine by him to leave Aerosmith, he’d be happy to go solo.
Ali Turner of Cape Girardeau, Mo., is one of 10 women selected from tens of thousands who applied to compete for a spot on Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show being broadcast on Dec. 1 on CBS, Debra Bass reported at stltoday.com/StyleFile. The competition will be aired in weekly webisodes on Angel Boot Camp on VSAllAccess.com and CBS.com.
A&E will present a reality show featuring brothers Jackie, Jermaine, Tito and Marlon Jackson as they reunite for a concert tour and cope with Michael’s death. It will premiere Dec. 13.
St. Louis rockers Fragile Porcelain Mice announced they will not give a Thanksgiving show this year and will no longer produce new material, Kevin C. Johnson reported at stltoday.com/Blender. Kevin calls the group "a one-time staple of the local music scene."
