people'This Is It' is a box office hit
Michael Jackson may be headed to the top of the charts again — this time at the movie box office. "Michael Jackson's This Is It" took in $2.2 million domestically from its first late-night screenings, setting it up for a big full opening day Wednesday and a strong shot at a No. 1 debut weekend. NOT ATOP THIS CHART — ACCORDING TO FORBES MAGAZINE, THE RICHEST DEAD CELEBRITY ISN'T MICHAEL JACKSON. THE TOP-EARNING DEAD CELEBRITY IS FRENCH FASHION DESIGNER YVES SAINT LAURENT. FORBES RELEASED ITS NINTH ANNUAL POLL WEDNESDAY. ACCORDING TO THE MAGAZINE, LAURENT EARNED $350 MILLION IN THE PAST YEAR. RICHARD RODGERS AND OSCAR HAMMERSTEIN RANK SECOND WITH COMBINED EARNINGS OF $235 MILLION, FOLLOWED BY JACKSON WITH $90 MILLION. 'LITTLE MISS SUNSHINE' STAR TO PLAY HELEN KELLER — Abigail Breslin will play Helen Keller in the first Broadway revival of William Gibson's "The Miracle Worker," scheduled to open on March 3, producer David Richenthal announced Wednesday. "I am so honored," the 13-year-old Breslin said. "Helen is a hero of mine — for so many reasons. She never gave up on herself, and she had so many people who believed in her like her teacher Annie Sullivan."
