Nov. 8, 2009: Emma Thompson's Roman adventure, Rihanna's regrets and Rue McClanahan's heart
Students at Exeter University in England presented a petition to actress Emma Thompson asking that she withdraw her name from a petition supporting her friend Roman Polanski. After reviewing the case, Thompson sent a message to the students: "Know that I will remove my name because of you."

Singer Rihanna, the woman who was assaulted by Chris Brown, says in an interview that will air on ABC’s "20/20" tonight that it was "wrong" of her to take Brown back: "It’s humiliating to say this happened."
Actress Rue McClanahan, 74, will have heart bypass surgery, which will cause her to miss "Golden: A Gala Tribute to Rue McClanahan" in San Francisco on Nov. 14. She sent a statement: "Trust me, I’d much rather be in San Francisco … being adored by all of you."
Mary Strey, 49, of Granton, Wis., called 911 to report a drunk driver — herself, reported Gabe Hartwig, who posted the 911 call at STLtoday.com/ViralVideos.
In a VH1 special, actor Willie Aames said he lost his money, and that when friends would not let him stay with them he would sleep in garages and in the park. He ended his homelessness when he found construction work. He said he is trying to become a financial adviser.
Joe Jackson is seeking an allowance from his son Michael Jackson’s estate, even though his wife already receives $26,000 a month and Michael’s will gave him nothing.
