TV picks for Oct. 29: 'The League'
ST. LOUIS POST-DISPATCH
SPOTLIGHT 'The League' 9:30 p.m. on FX FX launches a comedy about members of a fantasy football league where "deception, trickeration" — yes, "trickeration" — one-upmanship (and) win-at-all-cost mentality are apparently all in the rule book. Mark Duplass, Nick Kroll, Leslie Bibb and Nadine Velazquez are among the stars. NEW TONIGHT 'FlashForward' 7 p.m. on ABC Dylan disappears from the hospital in an episode titled "Scary Monsters and SuperCreeps." 'The Office' 8 p.m. on NBC In a Halloween episode, the office is planning a haunted house for Scranton kids, while in a possibly unrelated development, Michael (Steve Carell) falls into a koi pond at a big business meeting. 'Grey's Anatomy' 8 p.m. on ABC Lab tech Isaac asks Derek to save him from a spinal tumor that has been deemed inoperable. '30 Rock' 8:30 p.m. on NBC Liz and Jack scout for homegrown talent in Kenneth's hometown down south. Back home, Tracy (Tracy Morgan) freaks out after two celebrities die and he thinks he's next. 'Private Practice' 9 p.m. on ABC A still-shaky Violet is called on to testify against the former patient who attacked her and stole her baby.
