TV picks for Oct. 30: 'Ghost Whisperer'
ST. LOUIS POST-DISPATCH
SPOTLIGHT 'Ghost Whisperer' 7 p.m. on CBS On the night before Halloween, CBS dedicates its lineup to spooks. First, the Headless Horseman (yes, the one from "The Legend of Sleepy Hollow") haunts Melinda. Then, on "Medium" (8 p.m.), Allison dreams she's in a horror movie. And finally, on "Numb3rs," paranormal activity is suspected at an abandoned air base. PROGRAMMING NOTE With November sweeps under way, Fox has pulled its struggling Friday night lineup ("Brothers," "Til Death" and "Dollhouse") in favor of repeats; tonight, the two-hour "House" season premiere. "Dollhouse," which was supposed to introduce Summer Glau ("Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles") in a recurring role tonight, will return Dec. 4. NEW TONIGHT 'Supernanny' 7 p.m. on ABC Jo helps a family whose two sets of twins are double trouble, not double fun. 'Law & Order' 7 p.m. on NBC The death of the owner of a fashion house is linked to a website. 'Smallville' 8 p.m. on the CW Lois asks Clark to help her get a job on TV. 'Ugly Betty' 8 p.m. on ABC Marc (Michael Urie) becomes Betty's assistant.
