'Ghost Whisperer'

On the night before Halloween, CBS dedicates its lineup to spooks. First, the Headless Horseman (yes, the one from "The Legend of Sleepy Hollow") haunts Melinda. Then, on "Medium" (8 p.m.), Allison dreams she's in a horror movie. And finally, on "Numb3rs," paranormal activity is suspected at an abandoned air base.

PROGRAMMING NOTE

With November sweeps under way, Fox has pulled its struggling Friday night lineup ("Brothers," "Til Death" and "Dollhouse") in favor of repeats; tonight, the two-hour "House" season premiere. "Dollhouse," which was supposed to introduce Summer Glau ("Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles") in a recurring role tonight, will return Dec. 4.
