St. John's Mercy Heart and Vascular Hospital has added four cardiologists to its experienced team of heart and vascular specialists. "The addition of these physicians supports our vision to be the preferred cardiovascular program in the region," says Virginia Frank, vice president of operations at St. John's Mercy.

The four physicians have joined the practice of St. John's Mercy Heart and Vascular — a 17physician cardiology group with offices in west, north and south St. Louis County and Franklin County.

Dr. Labovitz completed his internal medicine residency at Hahneman University and his cardiology fellowship at Saint Louis University School of Medicine, where he served as a professor of internal medicine. He will continue to see patients and direct cardiovascular research.

Denise Janosik, M.D., F.A.C.C., has extensive research experience and a passion for women's health. She will serve as physician champion for PULSE, St. John's Mercy's women's heart and vascular health program. Dr. Janosik received her medical training from Saint Louis University School of Medicine, where she also completed an internal medicine residency, cardiology fellowship and was an associate professor of internal medicine.

Joseph Polizzi, M.D., F.A.C.C., will practice at St. John's Mercy Hospital in Washington, Mo. Dr. Polizzi received his medical training at Saint Louis University School of Medicine, where he also completed his internal medicine residency and cardiology fellowship.
