What is the Ballpark Founders Program?
The program sets aside 10,300 of the 46,000 total seats for season ticket holders, who pay a one-time fee to secure the same seats year after year. Until March 2, current Cardinals season ticket holders get first chance to buy those seats.
Are these like the Rams personal seat licenses, known as PSLs?
Yes. But only a portion of the seats in the ballpark would be reserved, while nearly all seats in the Edward Jones Dome were sold as PSLs. As well, the Cardinals will offer under certain conditions refunds for their Founders seats. And, unlike payments for Rams PSLs, payment on the Founders seats can be made over four years.
Why are the Cardinals doing this?
To raise $40 million to help build the $387.5 million ballpark, scheduled to open in April 2006.
