The Choice Student Loan Program offered at American Eagle Credit Union is a private student loan designed to fill the gap after an undergraduate student has exhausted federal aid options. The loan offers an attractive rate, flexible repayment terms and a simple application process.

Easy Application — Students can apply online for instant approval and a quote. Most students will have a co-borrower, which can lower the rate; but, the loan is in the student's name, allowing the student to develop a credit history.

Flexible Repayment — Students can choose to defer repayment of both interest and principle until six months after graduation and complete repayment within a 5-year period. Or students can choose to pay down their debt by making interest-only or principle-only payments while in college.

Other Services — AECU offers a Student Credit Card as a way to establish responsible credit. Qualified AECU members age 18 or older, who are enrolled in an accredited college or university on a full-time basis (12 hours/semester), can enjoy a low, fixed rate with no annual fee. The card offers ATM access and a 25-day interest-free grace period when balance is paid in full. Additional services include:
