Cahokia disaster will only be a drill
ST. LOUIS POST-DISPATCH
CAHOKIA - St. Louis Downtown Airport in Cahokia plans a simulated disaster exercise on Saturday. The exercise will run from 3 to 5 p.m. and will simulate the emergency landing of of an airplane carrying 35 passengers, and a resulting fire. The exercise will involve airport personnel, emergency responders and local, state and federal agencies. Required by the Federal Aviation Administration, the exercise will test plans, policies and coordination for emergency response to an actual crisis.
