Barnhart couple held in drugstore robberies
ST. LOUIS POST-DISPATCH

FESTUS -- A 45-year-old Barnhart man and a woman in her early 40s were arrested Wednesday morning outside a Des Peres pharmacy after a pharmacist allegedly recognized them from a robbery in which prescription drugs were taken from there Aug. 9. The method matched a robbery of the Festus Walgreens in July, in which a couple showed a handgun to a druggist and demanded OxyContin. Festus Police Chief Tim Lewis said the suspects admitted the Festus robbery. Their names were withheld pending filing of charges.
