Pepper spray used to stop school fight at Sumner High School
ST. LOUIS POST-DISPATCH
ST. LOUIS -- Guards appear to have used pepper spray appropriately to stop a noontime fight among 10 to 12 students at Sumner High School, a St. Louis Public Schools official said Tuesday. Spokesman Patrick Wallace said the guards are trained to use the spray, and followed district procedures when they gave three warnings for students to disperse before spraying those who remained. Wallace said some fight participants have been identified and will be punished, possibly expelled.
