Formal charges were expected today in Saturday night's triple-slaying at a convenience store at Martin Luther King Drive and Collinsville Avenue, officials said.

A suspect is in custody, and a 1993 Mercury Grand Marquis automobile sought by police was recovered near 14th and Salisbury streets in St. Louis, according to the Illinois State Police.
