MADISON COUNTY, MO. -- Denver E. Fortner, 68, of Fredericktown, died after experiencing a medical problem while driving on Route H in Madison County, Mo., early Tuesday afternoon and crashing his car, the Missouri Highway Patrol said. He was ejected when the vehicle struck a tree. He died about six hours later at St. Louis University Hospital. Fredericktown is about 88 miles south of St. Louis.
