Woman dies of injuries from hit-and-run
ST. LOUIS POST-DISPATCH

North St. Louis County -- A woman died Saturday of injuries she suffered when a hit-and-run driver struck her Friday night about five blocks from her home, authorities said.

Tishara Ingram, 22, was struck about 10:50 p.m. Friday at Chambers Road and Glen Owen Drive. Authorities said she had driven from her home, in the 9800 block of Dennis Drive, and stopped on Chambers because she had left her purse on the trunk hood. She lost her balance retrieving it and was struck by a passing car, which was driven from the scene.

Ingram was taken to Barnes-Jewish Hospital, where she was pronounced dead shortly before noon Saturday.

St. Louis County police were investigating. Several people witnessed the incident.
