West Alton man charged after shooting gas pump
ST. LOUIS POST-DISPATCH

ST. CHARLES COUNTY -- Nicolas D. Feltes, 27, of the 100 block of Carl Drive in West Alton, has been charged with firing a gun while intoxicated. Authorities say Feltes tried to buy alcohol late Saturday night from two adjacent convenience stores in West Alton. After clerks at both stores refused to sell him alcohol, Feltes got a 12-gauge shotgun from his vehicle and fired one shot at a gasoline pump at the Pit Stop in the 14000 block of North Highway 67. The pump did not catch fire. He was jailed in lieu of $30,000 bail.
