WEBSTER GROVES > Development project delayed

A plan to redevelop a section of East Kirkham Avenue for new businesses has been put on hold by the developers, the City Council was told this week.

The project had involved nine parcels in the 200 block.

Mayor Gerry Welch wants the houses that were bought for the project to be removed or restored.

"We need to do something about these boarded-up, unsafe houses," Welch said.
