High-end amenities plus special pricing equals a bargain at Whittaker's Villas at The Golf Club of Wentzville

We all love a good deal, from a dinner special to a two-for-one price at the shoe store. Bargains make buyers and sellers feel smart, having arrived at a price that satifies all. New-home buyers and sellers are no different. Recognizing that a good deal drives consumer interest, Whittaker Homes has done outside-the-box pricing for some of its well-appointed villas situated within the Golf Club of Wentzville community. In fact, in one instance this special pricing represents an $87,017 discount, which immediately qualifies as a really good bargain. And once you know a little more about this collection of homes, you may very well end up thinking this is one of the best deals around. The Golf Club of Wentzville includes, not surprisingly, an 18-hole championship golf course. There are no fees to residents for this amenity in terms of membership or maintenance; simply pay when you play. Unless you are a new homebuyer, in which case you will receive a Gold Card that entitles you to play a weekly round for free for a full year. In addition to golf, the community offers residents a swimming pool, bath house, common ground and walking trails. In fact, homeowners enjoy the outdoor amenities so much they plan community-wide potlucks and parties around them. Those same residents cite two more important reasons for loving their homes, noted John Steggerda, the sales expert for the community. “First, they say they love where we’re located. We’re two miles off Interstate 70, which makes us quiet and secluded, but we’re also really close to everything in Wentzville.” And the other reason homeowners are happy with neighborhood? “They say they really love their neighbors,” Steggerda concluded. In case you’re not yet convinced of the significance of this particular bargain, consider the McCord display home, the pricing of which just happens to represent the aforementioned discount. Beautifully finished, as display homes often are, this single-story villa comes with plenty of upgrades. The walk-out lower level has been finished with a wet bar, bedroom and bath. The master bedroom comes en suite, with its own master bath that includes a separate shower and corner jetted tub. The adjective “gourmet” is appropriate when applied to the kitchen, which also sports upgraded cabinetry (as does the entire home). The McCord also has vaulted ceilings, a great room with gas firplace, a breakfast room with bay window and a door to the cedar deck. The lot upon which this home is situated backs up to common ground. Pricing this home at $286,917 seems perfectly reasonable, given its amenities and upgrades. Now that the price has dropped to $199,900 -- well, that’s the definition of a good deal. Steggerda noted that the McCord isn’t the only bargain-priced villa in the community. The home at 403B, a Gibson model, just across the street from the McCord display, has been priced at $169,900, a discount of $29,282. Two other homes, one on the green at the 16th hole and one on the fairway at the 18th hole, also are ready for move-in and priced to sell. The other thing that’s true about bargains is that they’re designed to move; they come and then go quickly. So it’s up to the buyer to recognize one, then do the research. And in this case, it’s already been done for you. All that’s left for you to do is act. For more information on the villas, contact John Steggerda at 636-332-5958.
