As one of the highest points in Missouri, High Ridge promises amazing views of the surrounding Jefferson County area. Such is the case at McBride & Son’s three-village, single-family-home community of Harter Farms, where the scenery includes 220 acres of rolling hills and valleys, mature trees, undisturbed common ground, a 5-acre lake, and resident wildlife. Many of the homesites back to wooded common ground and are available as walkouts. McBride is offering eight floor plans from its popular Oakwood Series in two of the villages -- Harter Farms and Lakeview Estates at Harter Farms. The collection consists of four ranch designs and four two stories, ranging from 1,569 square feet to 2,738 square feet. Prices start in the low $200,000s. An optional three-car garage may be added to two of the plans -- the three-bedroom, two-bath Maple ranch and four-bedroom, 2.5-bath Ashford two-story. The Ashford is on display at Harter Farms and is a favorite among homeshoppers. The 2,540-square-foot model is shown with a bay window and fireplace in the great room, butterfly-shaped island, planning desk, and bay window in the kitchen/breakfast room, separate living and dining rooms, and a fully open staircase with spindled rails. Upstairs, the bedrooms are strategically placed for maximum privacy. Both the luxury master bath and hall bath are shown with double-bowl vanities. Another popular model, the four-bedroom, 2.5-bath Sequoia two-story, is also on display. Highlights of the 2,738-square-foot home include a two-story entry foyer and a formal dining room with easy entry to the butler’s pantry and kitchen, which has a center island and an open bar to the adjacent great room. The great room also features a bay window and a fireplace framed by wood bookshelving. Decorative wrought-iron spindles on the fully open switchback staircase add additional character to the first floor. Upstairs, the master bedroom suite with private office space, his-and-her walk-in closets, and luxury master bath are big selling points of this home, said Clint Skibinski, project manager for McBride & Son. In the third village, The Hollows at Harter Farms, McBride is offering five floor plans from its well-received Bayside Series. The collection consists of a ranch, 1.5 story and three two stories, ranging from 1,126 square feet to 1,963 square feet. Prices start in the $160,000s. A four-bedroom, 2.5-bath Sterling two-story display is available for viewing. The 1,902-square-foot model is shown with a full front porch with rock-based columns, an open kitchen/dining room that flows into the family room, first-floor laundry room, bedrooms with walk-in closets, and built-in computer desk in the upstairs common area. A long list of standard features are included in McBride’s homes at Harter Farms, such as fully sodded sites, a professional landscape package, and Whirlpool appliances; Many of the available extras are also shown. “We showcase our homes with select options so people can see which ones work for them and which ones do not,” Skibinski said. Additionally, he added, “We packaged our most popular options and priced them accordingly to further add value to our homes -- and provide a significant savings to customers.” Such strategies continue to impress McBride & Son’s homebuyers, as do luxury amenities like the community center and swimming pool with separate children’s play area. In fact, Skibinski said, customers recently gave McBride & Son a 91 percent customer service rating. For homeshoppers looking for a “home in a hurry,” McBride & Son has a variety of inventory homes ready for immediate move-in -- in each of the three villages at Harter Farms.
