Kathleen Nelson has worked at the Post-Dispatch since graduating from the University of Missouri in 1981 with degrees in journalism and theatre. Her love of sports was shaped at the side of her father, who mastered baseball, basketball, football and handball but was totally flummoxed by golf, and from years of spending Saturday afternoons watching "Wide World of Sports."
