Big Ten preview
ST. LOUIS POST-DISPATCH

Northwestern at Iowa — 11 a.m., ESPN

This could be more interesting than expected considering that the Wildcats have won the last two meetings between the teams at Kinnick Stadium.

Purdue at Michigan — 11 a.m.

The Wolverines might need this one to reach a bowl because they finish up the schedule with games at Wisconsin and against Ohio State.

Western Michigan at Michigan State — 11 a.m.

Western Michigan already has lost to Big Ten opponents Michigan and Indiana. But the Spartans have a loss to Central Michigan.

Wisconsin at Indiana — 11 a.m.

The Badgers have rebounded from 2008, rising to No. 21 in the BCS standings with a shot at a New Year's Day bowl game.

Ohio State at Penn State — 2:30 p.m., ESPN2

Both of these teams are hoping that Iowa crashes to open the door on the Big Ten title, but neither can afford another loss.
