Ohio State rips Penn State; Purdue nips Michigan Terrelle Pryor threw for two touchdowns and ran for one in his first game back in his home state and No. 15 Ohio State reclaimed control of the Big Ten race by winning 24-7 at No. 11 Penn State in a duel of the league's top two defenses. As an added bonus, the Buckeyes vaulted into a tie for the conference lead with Iowa after Northwestern handed the Hawkeyes their first loss of the season earlier Saturday. Pryor completed eight of 17 passes for 125 yards, and rushed for 50 yards and a 7-yard TD in five carries. The Buckeyes' defense held Penn State quarterback Daryll Clark in check with constant pressure. Purdue 38, Michigan 36 — Joey Elliott threw for a career-high 367 yards and two TDs and ran for another to help the visiting Boilermakers pull an upset and deal a serious blow to the Wolverines' bowl hopes. The Boilermakers trailed 24-10 at halftime but Michigan came undone in the third quarter again, allowing 21 points for the second week in a row. Michigan had a chance to tie the score after Brandon Minor's third TD with 2:10 left. But Tate Forcier was sacked on a 2-point conversion. After Purdue recovered the onside kick, Michigan forced a punt but went almost nowhere from its own 10. No. 24 Wisconsin 31, Indiana 28 — John Clay ran for 134 yards and a touchdown, Montee Ball scored two TDs and the visiting Badgers held off the Hoosiers' fourth-quarter rally. Michigan State 49, Western Michigan 14 — Little-used Ashton Leggett ran for 110 yards and four TDs to lead the Spartans to victory at home.
